Yesterday only I watched the movie Ex Machina. I was wondering about the word it means and related to this movie. So Exmachina means acc to Merriam-webster that "a person or thing (as in fiction or drama) that appears or is introduced suddenly and unexpectedly and provides a contrived(wrong/false) solution to an apparently insoluble difficulty".. Main motive of this post was not this but actually it's small though I would like to share to everyone to add to your knowledge and vice versa.
Before proceeding, I would like you to watch this video
The main talk I want to make here is about the solution to a problem.
Before proceeding to the main let me give you a little abstract here:
"AVA" the intelligent humanoid was developed by "Nathan"(already he tortured other versions of Ava) and to test her ability to escape he choose 1 of his employee "Caleb" not because he's a good programmer but based on his search engine browsing. And then both Ava and Caleb decided to escape from Nathan's Research Center to which Ava betrayed Caleb and escaped.
The point here is Nathan tested her ability to escape not other things cause he gave that same perception to ava that her creator is on the negative side. To which Ava (as she only met this human) & (who was designed by Nathan and he knowingly put several unnecessary algorithms to test) percepts that it is more important to escape (cause her humanistic intelligence). YES, While escaping she may take Caleb with her but as she previously discussed with him "Why are you allowed to decide what should I do and how should I do? Why not me?" to which she didn't get "her response".
A child from the time of birth till age 11 has several questions regarding everything to which he/she only asks their creator. And that is the role ava played here.
We are developing an Artificial Human Brain and then we will allow machines to learn. We are not developing a "Developed Artificial Human Brain".
That is the difference between an Infant(Human Brain) and An Adult (Developed Human Brain) + Some traits. Technically speaking for Ava these traits are those with which she is programmed.
Her ability to "think to escape", her ability "to pretend to have a crush on humans" and especially her ability to WANT (Highly active in a child). These traits decide the behavior of a living organism and an artificially living organism.
A crying child when gets what he's crying for doesn't care about the world. At that time his biggest achievement is that he got that toy.
Comparing similarly, Technically ava's want to escape was so desperate that she used "Attractive language", "Physical offense", "Predictions" and "False Statements" to manipulate humans to help her. To which she locked Caleb in that research base only. So, an Artificial human brain needs development from infant to adult like a human brain, cause that is what we want. we want machines to learn by themselves for that we need to remember that.
Remember: After all the future of AI for Tuning with Humans depends on the INPUT given to them.
Thank you for reading
Have a good time.
